A free innovative Primary School is run by the centre. Underprivileged,
out-of-school children from nearby slums are identified by a door to
door survey. They attend this school on a time slot decided by their
parents and follow an integrated approach to teachings and learning in
multigrade situation. Thus, a child can be at different grade levels
(of conventional school systems) in different subjects simultaneously. Daily mid-day meal to each child of approximately 1000 calories food
value, free uniform and shoes are also provided. The school is
accredited by National Institute of Open Schooling under their OBE
(Open Basic Education) programme |
